Experience an intense World War II survival adventure with Lucky Strike (2026) Blu-ray Box Set (1-Disc), a gripping war action thriller starring Scott Eastwood, Colin Hanks, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.
Directed by Rod Lurie, this action-packed historical drama is inspired by true events surrounding the Battle of the Bulge, one of the most significant military campaigns of World War II.
Scott Eastwood stars as Captain John Castle, an American soldier whose unit is ambushed and destroyed behind enemy lines during the final major German offensive of the war.
Wounded, isolated, and surrounded by advancing Nazi forces, Castle must rely on his military training, intelligence, and a portable radio to survive.
With no immediate assistance available, his only connection to friendly forces is an experimental Motorola SCR-300 radio.
As German troops close in, Castle uses his knowledge of military communications and unconventional tactics to disrupt enemy operations while desperately attempting to find his way back to safety.
Featuring intense battlefield encounters, suspenseful survival sequences, historical settings, and compelling performances, Lucky Strike delivers an engaging story of courage, determination, and wartime survival.
This single-disc Blu-ray edition is an appealing addition to collections featuring World War II movies, military action thrillers, historical dramas, and true-story-inspired war films.
About the Movie
The story takes place during the winter of 1944, as German forces launch their final major offensive against Allied troops in the Ardennes region of Western Europe.
Captain John Castle is leading an American military unit when a devastating German attack destroys his company deep behind enemy lines.
Badly wounded and separated from his fellow soldiers, Castle becomes the sole survivor of the devastating assault.
With enemy forces advancing through the freezing countryside, he faces an almost impossible challenge.
His only remaining connection to the outside world is a Motorola SCR-300 military radio, a relatively new communication technology that could become his greatest advantage.
Although his physical condition is deteriorating, Castle refuses to give up.
Using his military knowledge and understanding of enemy operations, he attempts to communicate with Allied forces while avoiding German patrols.
As he moves through hostile territory, he encounters dangerous situations that demand quick thinking and extraordinary courage.
The radio becomes his lifeline, allowing him to maintain contact with friendly forces and provide valuable information about the advancing German military.
However, surviving behind enemy lines requires more than military experience.
Castle must navigate unfamiliar terrain, freezing weather, and the constant threat of capture.
With German tanks and soldiers closing in, he develops an increasingly dangerous plan to disrupt the enemy’s advance while finding a way back to his own side.
Through suspenseful encounters and unexpected acts of courage, Lucky Strike explores the determination of an isolated soldier fighting against overwhelming odds.
