Summary (What is the plot?)
Washed-up revolutionary Bob Ferguson exists in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited, self-reliant teenage daughter, Willa. Years ago, Bob—then known as “Ghetto Pat”—was a member of the radical militant group “French 75,” robbing banks, freeing migrants from detention centres, and generally causing mayhem alongside his lover Perfidia and their comrades.
When Perfidia caught the obsessive attention of the ruthless Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw, she was forced to buy her freedom with sex before entering witness protection and fleeing to Mexico, leaving Bob to raise their daughter alone under a false identity.
Now, 16 years later, Lockjaw resurfaces. Seeking to join a white supremacist brotherhood of old-money elites, he must prove that Willa isn’t his daughter—by any means necessary. When Willa goes missing, Bob must come out of hiding and scramble to find her, father and daughter both battling the consequences of his past.
What follows is a breathless, 162-minute chase through a small American town on the brink of chaos—with civil unrest, ICE raids, and police brutality erupting around them. Bob must enlist help from his ex-revolutionary comrades while trying to outsmart both Lockjaw and the police who are combing through the city.
