Take a trip to Nantucket with Wings, the classic American sitcom that follows the everyday adventures of two brothers running a small commuter airline.
Joe and Brian Hackett reunite to operate Sandpiper Air at Tom Nevers Field, a small airport where life is rarely straightforward. Between running the airline, managing difficult customers, navigating romantic relationships and dealing with their eccentric co-workers, the brothers find themselves at the centre of countless amusing situations.
The airport is home to a memorable ensemble of characters, including Helen Chappel, a childhood friend of the Hackett brothers; Roy Biggins, their competitive business rival; Fay Cochran, the sharp-witted former flight attendant; Antonio Scarpacci, a friendly Italian cab driver; and Lowell Mather, the quirky aircraft mechanic.
Across eight seasons, the series combines witty dialogue, romantic storylines, workplace rivalries and character-driven humour. Its small-town setting and colourful cast create a warm, entertaining sitcom about friendship, family, ambition and the unexpected twists of everyday life.
Starring Timothy Daly, Steven Weber and Crystal Bernard, Wings became a memorable entry in American television comedy, appealing to viewers who enjoy ensemble sitcoms and classic character-based humour.
This 16-disc DVD box set collects the complete series, offering a convenient way to revisit the adventures of the Sandpiper Air team from beginning to end.
