Experience a captivating story of friendship, love, loss, and self-discovery with The Five Star Weekend Season 1 (2026), a heartfelt American drama series starring Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, and D’Arcy Carden.
Based on the bestselling novel by Elin Hilderbrand, this eight-episode series takes viewers to the beautiful coastal island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, where a luxurious weekend getaway becomes an unforgettable journey of emotional revelations, complicated relationships, and unexpected secrets.
A Weekend That Changes Everything
The story follows Hollis Shaw, played by Jennifer Garner, a successful cookbook author and popular lifestyle personality who appears to have the perfect life.
However, when her husband Matthew unexpectedly dies, Hollis finds herself struggling with overwhelming grief, emotional uncertainty, and the realization that her seemingly perfect world has been hiding serious problems.
Her relationship with her daughter Caroline has become increasingly strained, and her carefully maintained public image no longer reflects the complicated reality of her personal life.
Desperate to rediscover herself and find a way forward, Hollis organizes an extraordinary weekend retreat at her beautiful Nantucket home.
She invites four women who have played important roles in different stages of her life, hoping their reunion will provide comfort, friendship, and a fresh perspective.
Five Women, Five Different Stories
Joining Hollis for the weekend are Tatum McKenzie, Dru-Ann Jones, Brooke Kirtley, and Gigi Ling.
Each woman arrives carrying her own personal struggles, relationship difficulties, and carefully guarded secrets.
As the friends reconnect over elegant dinners, beachside conversations, shopping trips, and carefully planned activities, old memories and unresolved tensions begin to surface.
What initially appears to be a relaxing luxury getaway soon becomes an emotionally complicated reunion.
Friendships are tested, unexpected truths emerge, and long-hidden feelings force the women to reconsider their relationships with one another.
Friendship, Secrets, and Second Chances
Throughout the weekend, Hollis and her guests confront difficult questions about marriage, motherhood, personal identity, ambition, and the choices that have shaped their lives.
As conversations become more honest and personal boundaries are challenged, the women discover that even their closest friendships contain unexpected complications.
Meanwhile, Hollis begins uncovering troubling information about her late husband, forcing her to reconsider everything she believed about their marriage.
With its combination of emotional storytelling, interpersonal drama, beautiful coastal scenery, and compelling performances, The Five Star Weekend explores the importance of friendship, forgiveness, and finding the courage to begin again.
