Portlandia Season 1-8 (8BD) Blu-ray

Portlandia Season 1-8 (8BD) Blu-ray

Welcome to Portland, Oregon, where everyday life becomes an endless source of eccentric characters, unusual ideas and hilarious situations in Portlandia.

Created by Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel, Portlandia is a distinctive sketch comedy series that playfully satirizes the culture, personalities and alternative lifestyles associated with Portland.

Rather than following one continuous storyline, the series presents a wide variety of recurring characters and standalone comedic situations. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein portray numerous different characters throughout the series, creating a constantly changing collection of humorous stories and bizarre encounters.

The comedy explores everything from independent businesses and restaurants to relationships, work, art, music, politics, technology and everyday life. Ordinary situations are frequently transformed into exaggerated and absurd scenarios, giving the series its unique satirical style.

Across Seasons 1-8, viewers encounter many memorable characters and recurring sketches, including the feminist bookstore owners Toni and Candace, restaurant enthusiasts, musicians, couples, business owners, artists and Portland’s eccentric mayor.

The series also features numerous guest appearances from well-known actors, comedians and musicians, adding to the unpredictable nature of the show’s sketches.

The eighth season is the final season, bringing the series’ eight-season run to a close. IFC described Season 8 as the show’s final season, with ten episodes airing in 2018.

This 8BD Blu-ray collection brings together Seasons 1-8 of Portlandia, making it a convenient choice for fans of sketch comedy, satire, alternative comedy and classic television.
