Enter the dark world of one of America’s most infamous unsolved murder cases with Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, collected in this 2-disc Blu-ray box set.
Set in Fall River, Massachusetts, the series follows Lizzie Borden, the daughter of a wealthy New England family whose life is shaped by a restrictive Victorian household and increasingly volatile family relationships.
When the rebellious new maid Bridget “Maggie” Sullivan enters the Borden household, Lizzie discovers a new sense of freedom. Their relationship develops against a background of resentment, cruelty and growing tension that ultimately leads into the notorious 1892 murders of Andrew and Abby Borden.
The series also explores the cultural legacy surrounding Lizzie Borden and connects her story with other notorious figures, including Aileen Wuornos, played by Sarah Paulson. Netflix notes that the series takes dramatic liberties with the historical case; the real Lizzie Borden was acquitted of the murders.
Starring Ella Beatty, Vicky Krieps, Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall, Billie Lourd, Jessica Barden and Sarah Paulson, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story combines true-crime-inspired drama, psychological horror, period storytelling and crime thriller elements.
This collection includes all 8 episodes of the 2026 series in one 2-disc Blu-ray box set.
