About the Movie
Set during the Cold War, Mayday follows Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly, a talented American Navy pilot assigned to a highly classified mission over Soviet territory.
Known for his exceptional flying abilities and confidence, Troy believes he can handle almost any situation.
However, when his reconnaissance operation unexpectedly falls apart, he finds himself stranded behind enemy lines with hostile forces searching for him.
With limited resources and no reliable way to return home, Troy must find a way to survive in unfamiliar territory.
His situation takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Nikolai Ustinov, a former KGB agent who possesses an unusual fascination with American popular culture.
Nikolai is not the enemy Troy initially expects. Despite their completely different backgrounds and political loyalties, the two men gradually discover that they may have more in common than they realize.
Their unlikely partnership becomes essential when Soviet forces begin closing in.
As they attempt to escape, Troy and Nikolai must navigate dangerous encounters, complicated political circumstances, and a series of unpredictable situations.
Meanwhile, Nikolai’s daughter Anna becomes connected to their increasingly dangerous journey, adding another layer of complexity to their mission.
With military forces pursuing them and their chances of escape becoming increasingly uncertain, the two unlikely allies must learn to trust each other.
Through thrilling action sequences, humorous exchanges, and unexpected moments of friendship, Mayday explores how two men from opposite sides of a political conflict can develop an extraordinary bond.
