Discover the gripping world of BEEF, the acclaimed dark comedy-drama created by Lee Sung Jin.
The story begins with an unexpected road-rage encounter between Danny Cho, a struggling contractor, and Amy Lau, a successful entrepreneur who appears to have built a comfortable life. What starts as a brief confrontation soon develops into an increasingly intense rivalry that begins to consume both of their lives.
As Danny and Amy become more determined to get even with each other, their conflict spreads into their families, careers and relationships. Their attempts to regain control lead to impulsive decisions, unexpected consequences and increasingly complicated situations.
Starring Steven Yeun as Danny Cho and Ali Wong as Amy Lau, the first season combines sharp dialogue, uncomfortable humour and emotionally complex storytelling. Supporting characters, including Paul’s family and Amy’s husband George, add further layers to the conflict as the feud continues to escalate.
Rather than presenting a simple story of revenge, BEEF explores deeper themes of frustration, loneliness, ambition, family expectations and the pressures hidden beneath outward appearances.
This 3-disc DVD box set presents Season 1 of BEEF, making it a compelling addition to a collection of contemporary television dramas and dark comedies.
