Return to Gotham City for a new animated chapter in the legendary Batman saga with Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall.
Based on the iconic 1993-94 DC Comics Knightfall storyline, this animated feature brings one of Batman’s most famous battles to the screen. The story begins when Arkham Asylum is destroyed, allowing Batman’s most dangerous enemies to escape and spread chaos throughout Gotham City.
As Batman races to recapture the escaped villains, he is pushed further than ever before. Exhausted from fighting multiple enemies, the Dark Knight eventually comes face-to-face with Bane, a powerful and calculating adversary determined to break Batman both physically and mentally.
The film also introduces Jean-Paul Valley / Azrael, a vigilante whose presence becomes increasingly important as Gotham faces an escalating crisis.
Featuring the voices of Anson Mount as Batman, Michael Mando as Bane, and Pablo Schreiber as Jean-Paul Valley, the movie combines superhero action, dark animation and dramatic storytelling.
Directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams, Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall is the first installment of a planned three-part animated adaptation of the Knightfall storyline.
This 1-disc DVD is an ideal choice for fans of Batman, DC Comics, animated superhero movies and classic comic-book adaptations.
