Return to the newsroom for another season of workplace comedy with The Paper Season 2 (2026), the hilarious mockumentary series from the creative minds behind The Office.
Set in the fictional offices of The Toledo Truth Teller, a struggling Midwestern newspaper, the series follows an enthusiastic editor and his unconventional team as they attempt to restore the publication’s reputation while navigating office politics, personal relationships, and unexpected challenges.
In Season 2, Editor-in-Chief Ned Sampson, played by Domhnall Gleeson, faces new pressures following the newspaper’s success at the Ohio Journalism Awards. Determined to pursue meaningful investigative reporting, Ned takes on a powerful local organization, placing the newspaper’s future at risk.
Meanwhile, Ned and reporter Mare Pritti struggle to navigate their growing romantic relationship, while Esmeralda Grand attempts to establish her place within the team. As the staff develop their reporting skills, their ambitious assignments lead to embarrassing mistakes, surprising discoveries, and plenty of workplace chaos.
Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, The Paper brings the familiar documentary-style humor of The Office into a new setting, combining awkward encounters, eccentric personalities, and heartfelt moments.
Featuring Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, and Oscar Nuñez, Season 2 offers a fresh chapter in this entertaining workplace comedy.
